How to Use the EPF Calculator
Enter your monthly basic salary, current EPF balance, years until retirement, expected annual increment, and the EPF interest rate. The calculator computes your estimated maturity amount using year-wise compounding with monthly contributions from both employee and employer.
How EPF Works
Under the EPF scheme, both the employee and employer contribute 12% of the basic salary + DA to the provident fund each month. However, from the employer's 12%, 8.33% goes to EPS (Employees' Pension Scheme, capped at ₹15,000 basic) and only 3.67% goes to EPF. The employee's full 12% goes to EPF. Interest is compounded annually on the accumulated balance.
